Highlights
This Mommy & Me Weekend is designed to slow things down and create space for genuine connection. In a world that moves fast, this experience invites parents and children to unplug, breathe deep, and spend intentional time together surrounded by nature. From quiet moments at the barn to creative time side-by-side, every part of the weekend is built around togetherness.
What makes this weekend especially meaningful is the way it blends creativity with the outdoors. Nature-inspired crafts allow children to explore their imagination while moms share in the experience, creating keepsakes that hold real memories—not just finished projects. These shared moments often become the ones children talk about long after the weekend ends.
Horses add a unique and powerful element to the experience. For older children, the guided trail ride offers confidence-building adventure and a sense of accomplishment, while younger riders enjoy a gentle, guided pony experience designed just for them. Horses have a way of teaching patience, trust, and calm, making these moments both fun and quietly impactful.
Beyond the scheduled activities, the magic often happens in between—laughing around the campfire, watching the sun dip low, or sharing quiet morning moments at the barn. This weekend isn’t about rushing from one activity to the next; it’s about creating space for memories that feel simple, authentic, and lasting.
At its heart, this Mommy & Me Weekend is about connection—between mother and child, with nature, and with experiences that feel grounding and meaningful. It’s not just a getaway; it’s a chance to step away from everyday distractions and return home with full hearts and shared stories.

Special requirements
For the safety of both our guests and horses, closed-toe shoes are required at all times when handling or being around horses, including during trail rides, pony rides, and barn activities. Sandals, flip-flops, and open-toe shoes are not permitted in horse areas.
All participants must follow staff instructions during horse activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while on the property.
Additional safety guidelines and participation requirements will be reviewed during check-in and prior to horse activities.
Restrictions
For the safety and comfort of both our guests and horses, participation in the guided trail ride is subject to rider weight guidelines. Please refer to the height and weight chart below.
However, guests who do not meet the trail ride requirements are more than welcome to participate in all other horse-related activities, including barn interactions, ground-based experiences, and non-mounted activities offered during the weekend.
Max Weight:
This sliding scale is directly related to the physical requirements needed to maintain safe and appropriate balance while sitting in a saddle. While participants are riding, their center of gravity (and balance) is altered by being elevated in a seated position. We adhere to this requirement because:- Participants who fall outside this range are significantly more likely to fall off their horse and injure themselves.
- Participants who fall outside this range and do not have advanced training and experience* in riding techniques, correct riding posture, and correct seated balance in the saddle, cause excess strain on a horse’s back.
